Enthusiastic, experienced, certified!
I craft exciting motorcycle adventures for fellow riders worldwide.
The idea of starting FreeFlow Motorcycle Adventures came about when some long-time friends “threw down the gauntlet” and challenged me to put my money where my mouth is and to reignite my real outdoor passions.
OK, so I am really an outdoor and adventure junkie at heart, having spent my youth outdoors either camping in the wilds, catching poisonous snakes to sell to the local snake park, or surfing off the east coast of South Africa. I raced K1 kayaks for hundreds of km down many of the rivers of South Africa, immersed myself in the world of skydiving, got my private pilot’s license, dropped skydivers on weekends, scuba dived the Barrier Reef, raced off-road motorcycles, flew fixed wing gliders around the mountains of Hope, and even completed a 427km XC-ski event from Russia to Sweden.
I come alive when I head out into the unknown and have covered many thousands of kilometers riding off-road though Lesotho, South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana, Thailand, Myanmar, Mongolia, Bhutan, India, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan (and soon in Georgia and Armenia).
My love of guiding others came from having led many multi-day motorcycle rides throughout South Africa, Lesotho and Botswana, as well as stint for 2-years as a horse trail guide through the craggy mountains of Lesotho. I absolutely love it!
Now, with much guiding experience, coupled with a wilderness first aid qualification, and having done many international off-road motorcycle adventures, I am well prepared to continue this great challenge of organizing, coordinating and guiding motorcycle adventure tours in the countries that I love and with people that share the same love of riding into the unknown.
